Home of Hope City
A city of hope, love and transformation
Home of Hope City is the long-term dream that guides everything we do. We see a single, secure community where vulnerable children and families are cared for, educated, healed, discipled and empowered to become responsible leaders of tomorrow. Rather than meeting one need at a time in scattered places, the City will bring shelter, schooling, health care, faith and skills training together on one campus, so that a child who arrives with nothing can grow up surrounded by everything needed for a full life.
The plan above is a picture of that future. Behind a walled perimeter and a single main gate, the children's homes sit a short walk from their classrooms, the hospital, the church and the playing fields. Tree-lined roads, gardens and a central fountain tie the campus together, while buses, cars and ambulances connect the City to the wider community and to emergency care.
We want to be honest about where we stand. None of these buildings exist yet. What we have today is a calling, a growing family of children and supporters, and the faith that God, who began this work, will carry it through. Every gift, every partnership and every prayer brings this plan one step closer to the ground.
What the City will include
School Complex
A full school from nursery through primary to secondary level, so that children can complete their education on one campus, taught by people who know them by name.
Hospital
A modern hospital with its own ambulance bay, serving the children and families of the City as well as neighbouring communities that lack close access to medical care.
Church
A house of worship at the heart of the community, where children and families grow in faith, receive discipleship and find spiritual support for every season of life.
Administration Building
The coordinating centre near the main gate, housing management offices, admissions, family follow-up and the team that works with partners and donors.
Sports Complex
A football pitch and a basketball court where young people play, build friendships and learn teamwork and discipline.
Skills Training Center
Practical and vocational courses that prepare older youth and adults for employment, small business and self-reliance.
Library and Resource Center
Books, quiet study spaces and learning materials open to pupils, trainees and staff alike.
Gardens and Recreation Areas
Tree-lined walkways, lawns, playgrounds and a central fountain that give the City a calm, safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Transportation
School buses, cars and ambulances to move children safely and respond quickly in emergencies, with a car park shaded by solar panels that also supply clean energy to the campus.
